Windermere Terrabrook Mixed-use Community

Windermere is a Terrabrook mixed-use community located in Forsyth County, Georgia, which includes a balanced mix of residential, commercial, and recreational uses. The cornerstone of the 1600-acre development is an 18-hole championship golf course community. Ecological Solutions, Inc. provides environmental services for the development including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Section 404 permitting, State stream buffer compliance consultation, erosion control program management, and general stormwater consultation.
Section 404 permitting services consist of Individual Permit compliance consultation and coordination with the applicable regulatory agencies. Ecological Solutions, Inc. is also responsible for implementing the compensatory mitigation plan for the development. Mitigation services include hydrologic and vegetative design of wetland mitigation areas, observation and inspection of construction activities, and long-term monitoring of wetland mitigation areas.

In addition, Ecological Solutions provides State stream buffer compliance consultation. Services include identifying potential state waters, providing client consultation regarding stream buffer rules and regulations, assisting land planners with alternative site designs, and meetings with County inspectors to discuss potential qualifying waters.
Ecological Solutions, Inc. also provides erosion control program management, which includes services required for compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit (No. GAR100000), as mandated under the Georgia Water Quality Control Act. Tasks include NPDES compliance reviews, comprehensive water quality monitoring, erosion control inspections, and project documentation and coordination. Ecological Solutions, Inc. is also responsible for designing best management practices (BMPs) to stabilize disturbed areas that contain severely eroded soils. BMPs are designed to reduce soil erosion and decrease stormwater runoff velocities during storm events.
