Seasonal Intern Position

Ecological Solutions, Inc., an environmental consulting firm in Roswell, Georgia, is seeking qualified applicants to fill seasonal positions for interns in the 2017 summer season. This is a great opportunity for a student in a natural resource program to acquire skills and field experience in mist netting and acoustic surveys for bats, radio-telemetry, and data collection and management.

Job Duties

Daily field work includes mist-netting, acoustic surveys, radio-telemetry, data management and entry, professional contact with clients, equipment maintenance and decontamination, and may require some office work.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Ability to work as a team or independently
  • Experience working long hours (days or nights) in challenging conditions
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, detailed oriented, and good communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Excel programs
  • Ability to carry heavy equipment long distances in rugged terrain
  • Currently enrolled in college for wildlife related major
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Preffered Qualification:

  • Pre-exposure rabies vaccination
  • Experience with mist nets
  • Experience with radio-telemetry
  • Experience identifying bat species

Salary:

  • Competitive hourly rate with experience and qualifications.

Location:

  • Office based in Roswell, Georgia, travel is throughout the southeast
